Route 9 is a simple route that walks along the base of the steep Terram Mountains. It runs from the Crossroads Pokemon Center to Yumao. The journey between the two is a path that requires little effort, a few rock Pokemon here, a few grass Pokemon there but not much else.

Trainers who are coming from the Crossroads and heading down Route 10 will find themselves quickly enveloped in a deep forest. The road heads towards Dizhen city but those who are enticed by the lush green surroundings might never make it into the city. It's an easy route as long as trainers stay focused and stay the course.

The final route coming from the Crossroads is route 11 which heads up the only path through the Terram Mountains towards the Lost Shrine and later Rukden. The path is steep and very dangerous as it winds along the edge of the mountain, climbing ever higher into the sky. If a trainer is afraid of heights perhaps it would be best to take Route 12 instead.
