hello! I just had a few questions before I make a character profile! (I'm writing this on my phone so I apologize if it looks weird)
I didn't see a site rating in the rules, so I was wondering if it would be alright to if my character cursed like a sailor? No graphic violence, just a really bad mouth.
Also, if there are no levels, how do we know what attacks they know or when they learn new ones?
Another question was I saw it was okay to have preset pokemon. If my character were to have one preset that was not interested in battling (may be interested in the future to battle) would it be acceptable for her to get a starter? The character I have in mind would have a Wurmple, by the way, nothing powerful.
Thank you so much! I am excited to be a part of a growing forum!

I'm replying on my phone so sorry if things look weird ^^
We try to keep thigs pg13 under proboards rules, but cursing is allowed as long as it isn't every other word and it actually adds to the dialogue. I do not like to limit people on expressing themselves.
Your Pokemon already know all pf their moves. In that sense it is like the anime. There are certain attacks that can only be learned once evolved but for the most part they have access to their basic move pool from the beginning.
What you are referring to is a Pet Pokemon. If you start with a pet Pokemon it is not allowed to battle and can show up in threads and what not. It is almost like Misty with her little Togepi. If you choose to have a pet pokemon you would not list it with stats in your bio, just mention it within your history. Your character would be allowed to then receive a starter. However the pet Pokemon cannot battle at any point unless discussed with staff for plot purposes.
Hope this helps! If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

Awesome! Thank you for getting back to me. I will post my character bio sometime this evening. Oh, another quick question was I understand there are forums where the pokemon speech is understood by their trainers. I'm assuming here it would be like the anime where they seem to get the point from the pokemon just saying "pika pi", but I wanted to ask if there should be more dialogue than just the names. Thanks! Hope I'm not too obnoxious! I just want to get everything right the first time.

Honestly, in the ways of how Pokemon are understood, it is up to the member. There is no set way. I like sticking to the anime where we understand the pokemon via their names or have a telepathic connection to psychic pokemon. Others like having actual dialogue. It is completely up to you.
