A Rose in a thorn bush
She had just left from receiving her first Pokemon from the laboratory. A small grin was slapped across her pale face as she took her first step outside of the small town, and in to the wide, open space of the region. Many opportunities awaited her, and she could hardly contain her excitement.
She exhaled slowly, trying to blow off some of her giddiness, as she brushed her hair back behind her shoulders again.
She had her bag on her left, and the Pokeballs situated on a belt around her waist, the end with the Pokeballs hanging a bit lower.
She decided now would be a perfect time to stop for a bit, and allow her Pokemon outside of their containment, to get to know them a bit before her journey actually began.
The fresh air allowed her to breathe properly, and she loved not having the stuffiness of an enclosed restaurant. The smell of the burgers still overwhelmed her at times. One of the main reasons she no longer eats most meat.
With a step off to the side of the left path, she sat her bag on the small patch of grass she found, and took both Pokeballs from their hold, now releasing the two new Skitty. First came the male. The more loyal of the two, or so what she was told. He was gorgeous. Then the female. A bit of a snoodypuss.
The male gathered around Maive's ankles, while the female sat off to the side, her back turned to the girl as she began to groom her paw. Maive wrinkled her nose slightly at the female, then turned her attention to the male, momentarily. "Now. To get to know the both of you before picking names...." She said aloud, now sliding her legs up under her buttox to situate herself better, as she let herself be loved on by the male skitty.
