» APPEARANCE If you know Jodie, and thought she was a guy, Wayland, her twin, is the extreme of that. She essentially has a man's body, but is somehow a girl. These traits are only exaggerated when you see her outright puny limbs and figure. She just seems, frail. Though, behind her surprising silhouette are even more surprising muscles. She can't lift 200 lbs or anything, but she can do some crazy acrobatics. It's as though she were build to be a parkourist, and guess what, that's one of her talents. Though you wouldn't guess with the way she dresses, with her shoulder length often color changing hair, and her use of a light trench coat, she seems like she'd get caught on just about anything, but no, she is often seen jumping from roof to roof when not sitting at her computer desk or couch. Her outfit consists of a baggy black shirt, baggier brown pants, and some insane boots, with her classic beige trench coat over the top. Some say she's got army boots. They may or may not be correct. Her hair, on the other hand, is absolutely nothing debatable. It's shoulder length straight locks are sometimes green, sometimes purple, sometimes blue, sometimes black, every three weeks or so you see her with a new color. And trust me, she's been every color. At least six times. She even has about four wigs of her most common colors, in case of emergency. And her apparel does hide something; her sensitivity to cold. Her gym and apartment is often at about 90 degrees. All the time. Under her regular clothes she often wears another layer, when going outside probably two. Her look is completed with a little tie in her hair keeping her bangs out of her eyes, whose color changes often too, usually to complement her hair, and her brown gloves, going up to her elbows, leaving about three inches of skin showing on her entire body other than her head. » PERSONALITY » HISTORY Wayland, being born just minutes after her sister Jodie, was born into a world of her parents success. sixteen badges per parent, adventurous twin, insane grandparents, it was all a bit overwhelming. And the thing that was crazy about it, was that she was nothing like them. she was no master pokemon trainer, she wasn't good at coordinating, she just had an interest in dilapidated buildings. Wayland, drowning in the wake of even her sister's success, who wasn't even as good as even her parents, was kind of stuck. her parents expected a lot out of her, her sister was all of that and more, and she was just an introverted nerd. When she became nine years of age, for her sister's birthday (or something) she went out of town with the professor. she came back with a duskull. This maddened her. To her core. Why was Rip always getting the talents, the adventure, the luck? She knew it wasn't Rip's fault, she didn't ask to be good, but, what was Wayland supposed to do? She was the odd one out, to be left on the side of the road with the rotten leftovers. She didn't like that. She didn't accept it. So, two nights after Jodie got home, Wayland stole one of her parents' many pokeballs, and sneaked out. She went out, into the town, getting colder, past it, getting colder, into the fields, colder, finding nothing, colder, into the woods, colder, finding nothing, colder, freezing, She falls to her knees, the cold unbearable. She can hear her parents' calls in the town, distant. Her, curled up in the dirt, couldn't muster the energy to yell back. Then, as though someone put a blanket on her, A whimsicott laid down next to her. Then another. Then a sawsbuck. Soon, it seemed as though the entire forest had laid down next to this freezing little girl. Wayland slept good that night, in the forest. The Whimsicott followed Wayland home the next day, and into the surprised arms of her parents. She felt better about not being as good for then. The whimsicott became her first pokemon, and she trained it, refusing her trainer license the entire time. Jodie went on her little adventure, and Wayland went on hers. Wayland trained her pokemon, and herself. She went to gymnastics classes, won competitions, went to parkour classes, got accustomed to the forest, got to know the grass type more, and at eleven, she finally accepted her parents' offer, and became a trainer. And she was met with failure. At her first gym, she failed. so, she trained more, and tried again. and then again. And again. Over and over, but still not being able to beat it. Then news of Jodie having a similar experience came to her. It was a relief, to say the least, knowing it was hard for Rip, too. Then, on the news, "Girl wins gym by landslide" and she continues on. and is met with more failure. Wayland needed closure. She went to where Jodie was last seen, and finds her. talks to her, meets her again. And she battles her. Her Whimsicott defeated her, with the type advantage. That, was enough. With a thanking of her sister, and the catching of some more pokemon, she went back to the gym, with new hope. And she won, with the use of strategy. she developed new strategies, caught more pokemon, and won two more gym badges. She became a better trainer. Though she was still not as fearless or extroverted as Jodie, leading her to live alone, in her little apartment. Then, a few years into her having given up on training, the city of Moroii approached her, offering her a job in their newly remodeled gym. Nearing three years of doing that, she's pretty content. | ||
