Dizhen City Gym
Gym Leader Party
Information
The stench of garbage and toxic chemicals consume the air around you as you creak open the doors to this...estranged gym. The first thing you would notice upon entrance, is a bubbling ooze beneath your feet. The only thing protecting you from falling into that purple toxic liquid under you is a maze like pathway that goes several different directions, and it appears at first glance that it could take some time to find out exactly which way was the right way to the gym leader. It was ofcourse meant to test trainers before being given the honor to battle the leader himself. An easy test? Maybe, but a test nonetheless, a test to not be afraid of poison or risks, to build courage to face the thing that harms you right up front, and conquer it. That's what this gym was about, and if that was just the gym alone, imagine how the leader will be upon confrontation!
Upon further inspection, the gym has been recycled from what it was; a run down sewage plant. The city of Dizhen didn't have any use for it any longer, since they went green and environmentally friendly and all that, so they donated this place as a gym to its Gym leader. It wasn't exactly a cozy place, but it was home....to someone. Or...is it something? The gym is mostly made of metal with connecting steel platforms to forge a pathway and protect you from the ooze below. There are many different metal structures and empty kegs and canisters as well as completely cleaned out chemical tanks towering high above you. Some sewage pipes along the sides of the gym and a bridge or two made of stone as alternate ways to get around. The gym itself wasn't huge as it was just long and drawn out. But it certainly gave the illusion of a huge place. Don't worry, you won't get sick or a disease or anything...unless you fall in to the disgusting chemicals around you, then, well...you're on your own pal.
At the very entrance of the gym, there is a wooden and rotted sign with something written upon it in purple ink.....
"Hey,
So yeah welcome to my humble abode. It's siiick right? I'm usually somewhere else, I don't like being cooped up in any one place, so don't get mad okay? Just chill and wait around, I'll eventually come back. It might take a while though, but no worries, just press the big red button next to the door, it'll sound a really freakin loud alarm alerting me someone is in my gym. I'll hear it from wherever I am, trust me, it's signal is connected to my phone number. In the meantime, there's some poison Pokemon that like to lurk around here...so say hi, they may like you...they may not...whatever, just hold your horses and I'll be back before you get a cold! Haha.
-Dizhen Gym Leader"
Gym Protocol
In this gym, Poison type Pokemon are the used specialty. The Gym Leader is named Nattousai Fang, a young adult with a calm, yet arrogant spirit. He loves, and I mean, LOVES inflicting poison whenever he can, and he will poison your Pokemon to the core the first chance he gets, you'll want to bring alot of status correction items with you to have a better chance at victory. Against trainers with less experience, and less badges, he may focus more on defensive tactics and go easy on the poison for fun, but if you came for a real fight, there is no hesitation for him to really give you all he's got. Expect complete toxicity.
The battle rules are 1V1, the Gym Leader and The Trainer may use no more than 3 Pokemon each, and it can be any 3 Pokemon in their party if they have more than the 3 allowed. The only trial set in the gym is the Trainer has to make it through the maze of pathways through this nasty chemical facility to reach the correct platform and challenge Nattousai. The other catch is, If the Trainer decides to use a Poison Type Pokemon on Nattousai, the Gym Leader will reward the Trainer by giving them a little extra something at the end of the battle for being a Poison Type handler. They will also earn a bit more respect from Nattousai. If they don't have a Poison Type in their party, they get no extra reward.
Both competitors will get eight turns each, or until either team is fainted completely. That's really all there is to it. The team you face has Arbok, Muk, Drapion, Crobat, Weezing, and Nidoking, Nattousai will choose 3 out of the 6 at random for you to battle.
Upon defeating Nattousai, you will be rewarded The Antibody Badge.
You will also be given a Status Buff, or Status Restorative Item and ofcourse a cash prize. Best of luck to all forthcoming challengers.
