Ellie hummed to herself as she walked into the laboratory, with the shiny glass doors automatically opening for her. As she enters the all white building, Ellie strikes a pose, elegantly flipping her hair and putting on her very expensive sunglasses. Ellie then proceeds to glare at the plebeians that worked inside the building, showing enough of her perfectly white teeth to display just the right amount of ferocity and disdain towards the lab assistants. Ellie skipped over to the plain-looking worker, before digging into her very large purse. After throwing out a couple of expensive items and trinkets from her purse onto the floor, Ellie brings out a ridiculously large wad of cash, before saying to the nerd standing next to her, " How much can I pay you to get me one of those cool looking legendary Pokemon? Preferably a cute one, that can fit along with my image. I want to be the talk of the town, drawing the jealousy of the rich and famous!"

Believe it or not this wasn't the first time someone had tried to bribe the pokemon lab. The man took his hand out of the lab coat pocket gestured to a metal box on the wall that was jokingly labeled 'bribes donations'. Regardless of if this young woman was joking or not the man really didn't want to deal with it. "Jealousy is earned, not bought." He said with a sniff, pushing his glasses back up from his nose to his eyes. "Feel free to have some paper work though." The man opened a drawer on the cabinet he was leaning against and handed the girl a pile of forms. Most of this was digitized now but he just felt like making her pay a bit for her quip about legendaries. Pokemon training was serious business after all. After piling the forms into her arms he walked her into another room. "look here." He said in a rather humdrum voice as he pointed to a camera with one hand and clicked a button with another. Taking the girls picture for her trainer card regardless of if she was ready or not. "No retakes." He said, motioning for her to follow him into yet another room. This one had a few chairs, a table with some pens on it and little else. "Fill out the forms in their entirety. Someone will be along with a pokemon for you once you're done."
The man swiped an ID card and stepped through an automated sliding glass door into the lab. "Clark. I've got one for you." He shouted as the door closed behind him. "Go nuts."
Agonizingly long minutes passed as the forms were completed and the appearance of Clark was anxiously awaited. This was his favorite part of his job, it took preparation. After all you only got one shot to make a first impression. As the woman finished filling out the last form a young man with messy hair and thick glasses rolled up to the glass in a chair. It was as if on cue, or perhaps he had been waiting for her to finish. Opening the door he rolled across the room and snatched up the papers without a word. "So a trainer eh?" He mused, flipping through the papers. "Fan-tastic." Clark rolled into a side room with the papers and returned without them, waiting a moment before reaching into his pocket and pulling out three pokeballs. "I've got three options for you today." He said, clearing his throat and building suspense. "They say if you shoot for the moon and miss you'll land among the stars. That's where we found this baby. Hailing from parts unknown it's Cleffa!" He said enthusiastically, expanding the first ball and spinning it on his finger for a moment before placing it on the table. "In ball number two we've got the hottest of hot shots, you could call it Moltres - but then you'd look like an idiot. It's ready to ignite a fight, say hello to Fletchling!" Clark set the second ball on the table. "and land but not least. This pokemon has spent it's entire life in the cool corner, here to seal the deal and keep it chill. It's Seel!"
Clark put the third ball on the table and leaned forward, peering at the woman. "This is a big choice so take your time. You can take any of them out of the pokeball to interact for a bit but don't get too attached. You can only keep one."

Ellie sighed a bit, as she finished the last of the paperwork. Usually there was somebody to do stuff like this for her, but now that she was on her own, with barely any money, she do the paperwork by herself. As the other man brought out three pokeballs into the room, and introduced all three of them to Ellie, she shouted "Cleffa is a legendary Pokemon, right? I'm taking it!" as she snatched the first Pokeball from the table. Ellie twirled around the room before shoving her sunglasses, Pokeball, and the rest of the Pokemon Trainer starter goods into her unrealistically large purse. Ellie pushed on the glass door at the entrance of the building a bit, before the door opened up for her, although not in the way she expected it. Ellie fell face flat onto the pavement in front of the laboratory, before getting herself up. She fixed her hair and checked out her mascara with her handheld mirror that also functioned as a wash, before slinking away from the street and onto the back alley in embarrassment.

Cleffa | Female | Magic Guard x5 Pokeball x1 Map x1 Pokedex
If the trainer had bothered to interact with each pokemon or even take the time to ask Clark a few basic questions she would have learned that this particular pokemon was still a baby. The young Cleffa was in fact not a legendary, as there were more than one of them in the world. The Cleffa was far from a seasoned fighter, in fact it had not yet been introduced to the concept of battle. The pokemon would take quite a bit of careful nurturing and training before it was combat ready. Patience is the key with this one, as it is still young and enthralled by everything the world has to offer. It wants to travel, explore and has a penchant for wandering off and getting lost. The pokemon enjoys watching the stars in the night sky and drinking morning dew so don't expect to sleep much. If you miss it's two favorite times it will be grumpy at you all day. It views everyone and everything as a friend, and has yet to master the concept of personal property so make sure it keeps its hands off other peoples belongings or you'll be the one who gets in trouble for it.
