Finding a pokémon center carved into the side of the mountain would've been weird to the young actor if he was not cold and wet. He was only suppose to be in the mountains for a good hour to check out the set of his next movie. He met up with the director and his manager to check everything out and as he did, he thought it would be a good idea to let all of his pokémon out. Everything was fine at first, they all stuck by his side, looking at the scenery like he was doing himself. He didn't know what happened but he stopped paying attention to the pokémon for a brief second and when he looked back at them, he found Angel with her handless arms wrapped around Chickadee's neck and Pixie using razor leaf. He tried to stop them but the pokémon kept moving as they fought. So he had to chase after them. The pokémon did not stop fighting until they realized they had no clue where they were at. Davey did not either- but a Ursaring made it clear that Davey and his pokémon were in his territory.
It took a lot of attacks from his pokémon and even more running before they got away from the bear pokémon. And the Ursaring was only the beginning. Groups of pokémon stumbled across them, picking a fight. The first pokémon to faint was Chickadee; out of the three, she was the weakest pokémon. A few hours after she did, Angel did too- she took most of the blows. So that left Pixie Dust, who fought very hard. The pokémon was only defeated by the heavy drops of rain that began to fall. The drops of rain stuck to Pixie's fairy flower and she could no longer carry it. It began to weigh her down and she could not keep moving.
Luckily, the faint glow of the pokémon center in the night was seen once he put Pixie away. He quickly ran toward it , a very narrow path could be seen leading toward it.
Finally, he reached the doors of the pokémon center, pushing it open and letting in the sound of rain and thunder. He glanced around to see that it was empty. There was no one there except Nurse Joy, who stood at the front desk. "I need my pokémon healed and a room." He was breathing heavily. "I also need to use your phone, my pokédex is broken." That was because he used it as a shield. A Staraptor would've clawed his eyes out if he didn't.
"The phones are in the lounge. Wigglytuff will take your pokémon while I get your room all set up." The nurse pointed in the direction of the lounge while a pink pokémon pushed a cart his way. He released his pokémon from their balls on the cart, promising them he'll be there when they get out before heading for the lounge. There he picked up a phone and called his manager, who began to yell at him. "I know, I know- I should've told someone, I'm sorry. But I'm at a pokémon center and I'm perfectly fine. Can't say the same for my pokémon... I'm going to stay here. We all need the rest." The conversation was short between the two. Davey said his goodbye and right after he did, Nurse Joy walked in with a cup of hot chocolate.
"You need to warm up." She told him.
Davey didn't notice until now but he was cold. A little wet too. He took the hot chocolate and started sipping on it. It warmed his body and made him feel a little better than he did before. "This is the best hot cocoa I've ever had." He told her as he sat down on one of the many couches in the lounge. He felt a bit tired but did not want to fall off to sleep without making sure his pokémon were okay. That could clearly be seen and the nurse assured him that they would be fine and that he could sleep.
Of course Nurse Joy meant in his room but Davey spread himself out on the couch and fell off to sleep.
nyx As soon as signs of rain began to show is when Adrian got his butt in gear. He had on a large hiking pack and had been following the mountain trails for a while before eventually having to haul his butt to find shelter. Luckily there was a Pokemon Center though and gladly he took the chance to avoid the rain. While in there he noted how somebody had even arrived after it had begun to rain. Poor guy. Meanwhile Adrian had been writing in his adventure journal, going over details of sorts and jotting down some notes of what he noted during his hiking. Eventually though there was one little thing that he noticed.
Walking over to the person whom had came in wet, be knelt down and gave the young man a slight shake. "Hey, kid. You may want to go sleep in your room rather than out here." He stated. Atop his head as usual was Mikki. The Jigglypuff was typically seen on top of Adrian's head, hitching a ride and whatnot. The two were close though and aside of Mikki he also had Crash, a Roggenrola, with him. While Mikki had been with Adrian for a few years now, still as an Igglybuff for quite a long time until finally evolving, Crash was a more recent addition.
It was a good thing Adrian did wake the teen up. He was having just a replay of what had happen today but much worse. He watched his pokémon being attacked by those vicious wild beast and he couldn't do anything about it but watch his pokémon get ripped limb from limb. He had no voice to call attacks, he could not really do anything. In the dream, he would try to call them into their pokeball but they just wouldn't return. He had to watch his pokémon repeatedly faint and somehow heal, only to be attacked again. This happened again and again and again until finally he had woke up. The slightest touch from the other trainer caused Davey's eyes to flutter open and immediately, he started to panic. "Where's Angel? Chickadee? Pixie Dust!!" He quickly got up in a panic, looking around for his pokémon. He had almost mistaken the jigglypuff atop the man's head for his own, running towards Adrian with his hands out, calling his own Jigglypuff's name. But the closer he got, the more he began to realize that was not his Angel. He stopped himself, quickly putting his hands down and giving the man and his pokémon a strange look. "That's-that's not Angel." He shook his head.
"That's because she's here! Healthy and happy!" Nurse Joy walked in pushing a cart with three happy pokémon who, once eye contact was made with their trainer, leaped off the cart and started running towards him. The pokémon worried more for him than he did for them and they were happy to see that he was okay. Despite each pokémon's tiny size, they seemed to knock him down, dancing all over him.
"I'm glad to see that you are all okay! I'm so sorry! I should've been prepared... I should've prepared you guys too." He was being very sincere. He felt like this was all his fault. He should have been training more, taking this whole trainer thing seriously. "I'm serious. I'm going to put the movie aside and we're going to do some serious training." Davey gave all his pokémon one more hug, being very careful with his smallest pokémon, Pixie Dust the flabebe. Afterward, he grabbed his bag, which was leaning against the couch and pulled out two pokeballs. Clicking the button on both, only two were returned to their ball. Angel, Davey's Jigglypuff, had been left out. He smiled at the jigglypuff before reaching into the bag and pulling out a navy blue ribbon. "This fell off when you fainted." He placed it on the back of her body before picking her up and holding her.
He ignored the other trainer up until this point, turning toward him still smiling. "Sorry for reacting the way I did. I just had a terrible dream." The eye contact he made with the trainer shifted toward the big pink fluff on his head. "I want to apologize, also, for trying to steal your jigglypuff. You see, your jigglypuff sort of looks like my Angel but... I can tell the difference. No offense but my Angel looks a bit more feminine than your own jigglypuff." Davey noticed many differences between his jigglypuff and the guy's own. Davey's Angel's eyes sparkled more and she even smiled more. Davey didn't want to say it aloud but his jigglypuff was much cuter.
"I'm assuming that Jigglypuff is your partner by the way you have her out and what a coincidence! Angel is my partner too."
Adrian was a bit surprised in the initial reaction for the young man and how he woke, moving toward Mikki and calling out a whole different name before he came to a slight realization. Then finally Nurse Joy came back in, presenting the Pokemon which Adrian assumed were belonging to the young man and also which gave Adrian notion as to why he had tried to get Mikki. Another Jigglypuff, presumably Angel, was returned with two others. Well, that explains a lot of things now doesn't it?
When suddenly the speaking began Adrian gave a small chuckle at the remark of Mikki looking less feminine than his Jigglypuff, Angel. "Well, Mikki is a male, so I would expect so." He responded, a smile on his face before continuing. "Mikki was actually kind of a package deal when I first encountered him and my Tyrantrum during my travels. My real original partner has been with me since I first started my journey, he is a Noivern and stays back at home in the Hall with the other dragons. Mikki though is the one who actually travels with me and dog most of the battling. He spent a few years as an Igglybuff until very recently actually." Adrian explained.
"Ah! Excuse me, sorry. My name is Adrian, and you already know Mikki's name. Nice to meet you." He said, extending a hand to offer for a shake if this young man decided to. Aside of that, Adrian noted this stranger did have a likable personality. As well as a seemingly new team? Adrian himself wasn't really new, with Mikki having years of experience under his belt. Although only just recently had Adrian also acquired a Roggenrola, who was in his ball. Which also brought up something else, and so calling Nurse Joy over he was able to ask her to check over Mikki and Crash. Mikki seemed reluctant to leave, puffing up and pouting. Although it could also be since Adrian happened to charm Nurse Joy and earn her digits. If you catch the drift. Where his Pokemon were soon carted away to be checked up on their health.
He was relief to hear that the other jigglypuff was a male. He would feel horrible if it were a female (if it were female, his comment would've been more of an insult). As for Angel, she was just happy to see another jigglypuff other than herself. Angel slipped out of her trainer's grip, huffing and puffing just to reach Mikki's height and examine the pokémon closely. After overlooking the pokémon, Angel gave him a sort of wicked smile. The female jigglypuff was beginning to like her male counterpart and being a spoiled pokémon, she was use to getting what she liked. He may not know it yet but Angel has claimed the male jigglypuff for herself and no other pokémon should dare to look his way without her permission. "I'm glad to hear that." Davey was hardly paying attention to his partner, closely listening to what the man had to say next. "Noivern? I think I worked with one before. I don't exactly remember... I've worked with a lot of pokémon and don't really remember their names unless they're fairy or psychic types." He shook his head trying to remember what a noivern was.
"My Angel recently evolved too! I got her just a few weeks ago, I believe. I wonder why she evolved much faster? Angel only had one battle." He scratched his head a bit as he thought about it. He's heard rumors about how baby pokémon evolved. Usually, it was due to the friendship they shared with their trainer. The stronger the bond, the more likely it was that the pokémon was to evolve. Now, that's not saying Adrian and Mikki's friendship is less than Davey and Angel's. Its just different and Davey reminded himself about that. His mother once told him that all trainers and their partner are different. No trainer and their pokémon are like the other. It was important to keep that in mind. "Maybe our pokémon decide when they want to evolve." He gave a slight shrug of his shoulders.
The man's name sounded sort of familiar. Where has he heard the name Adrian? Eh, possibly in a magazine or script. "Its nice to meet you! I'm- whoa." Davey couldn't believe this. Adrian had no clue who he was at all and he somewhat understood. Davey was a teen actor, many adults hardly knew who he was unless their child or sibling or nephew or niece pointed him out to them. He was somewhat happy to introduce himself. This would be his very first time as an actor. "Sorry, I just thought of something. I'm Davey Perez, new trainer, fashion mogul, actor and cute pokémon lover!" He shook Adrian's hand fast, gripping it tightly and he didn't even notice. Davey was just excited to introduce himself for the first time.
He soon let go of Adrian's hand, in time to receive his pokémon who was upset too to see Mikki go. Davey's arms wrapped around Angel once more as he sat down, looking up at Adrian. "I'm assuming you're an experience trainer by the pokémon you've caught. Those don't sound like simple pokémon you catch on route 7 or something." He knew those pokémon were rare just by their names. He wished he could look them up on his pokédex. Davey usually looked up new pokémon when he saw or heard of one- he assumed it's what most new trainers do.
Adrian nodded. "Well, Noivern is a dragon. So definitely not fairy or psychic." He explained with a smile. When it came to the subject on evolution he simply nodded. "It can vary... Although with Mikki, I can't really say what made him wait this long. He has been with me for years and rarely lets me out of his sight, but I can at least figure he had his reasons. At least now he finally chose it was time. Or well, it was a while back actually." Adrian told the young man. Suddenly his hand was taken and given a shake.
"Ah, well pleasure to meet you, Davey. I may not really look like much, but I am currently a league member. I run the Savage Hall alongside my dragons which have joined me over my years of travel. Admittedly I never had expected though that I would end up with an Igglybuff being part of a package deal with a Tyrantrum. Although I guess this work works in mysterious ways, you know?"
Eventually Nurse Joy returned and Adrian thanked her as Mikki was looking quite content, clambering back into Adrian's head and settling down, paying no heed to the other Jigglypuff. He already had to share Adrian enough, any more Pokemon to share his trainer and friend with was in no way needed! The sassy Jigglypuff ignoring the other completely while Adrian interacted with Davey. "So, an actor, huh? Interesting. What happened that got you stuck up here in the first place?" Adrian asked Davey curiously.
hand slammed against the pokemon center doors, hitting them before they had time to open. An exhausted and drenched trainer stumbled into the brightly lit center, falling to her knees. Her words came in gasps. “Arceus, thank Arceus. I thought I was dead.”
Jodie forced herself to take a deep breath. Her head was pounding and thoughts whizzed through her head. The past hour felt hazy. A tired and panicked blur. Okay, Jodie, back it up.
That afternoon, Jodie thought she’d go out for a nice walk in the mountains. That would calm her nerves, surely. She knew these mountains like the back of her hand. It’d be nice and relaxing. Healthy.
But then she got really really lost and all the trees started to look the same and the eyes in the shadows- Jodie stopped that train of thought. See? That there was the problem. The trainer sat down cross legged (right there on the floor) and tried again.
She was climbing the mountains when she, as usual, got bored. Venturing off the beaten track, she tripped and fell down a hill. Why did she do something so silly? Jodie took a moment to remember. She’d… seen a shadow in the trees, the same one she’d seen in town. She started yelling at it, “Why have you been following me around?! Look, I know I ate your candy but that was two days ago! Leave me alo-”
And then, not looking where she was backing up, she fell down a hill.
The forest was really dark. Night had fallen and in the shadows were more shadows. Jodie took out her flashlight and told her Gengar to hang close. She’d find her way back out, no problem. But then the trees started twisting all in on themselves, burring with the shadows and the shadows growing until she had little choice but to break free of the darkness or be swallowed by it.
She found herself in a glade. Oh, but it wasn’t the empty peaceful sort they talk about in stories. No. A hundred sets of eyes turned to her, like she had interrupted a secret meeting. In the center of the eyes was a tall black mass, eyes the color of blood and staring right into Jodie’s own. A deep chill went down the trainer’s spine. Not the normal hair-raising one; it felt as though ice was pumping through her veins.
She took a step back, her mouth agape and her eyes wide. One of the shadows leapt at her. And for the first time, that shadow actually hurt. At this point, alone in the dark forest, Jodie abandoned her pride and her courage. She ran like hell was on her heels.
The trainer felt the whizz of a few more attacks go by at first, but as she continued up the mountain (letting her legs do all the navigating, as her mouth was occupied yelling for Gengar to attack them and her brain was busy dealing with the adrenaline), these stopped. The hoard of black didn’t relent, however. Not until the warm glow of the pokemon center appeared on the horizon.
That brought her to now, covered with dirt and looking entirely as though she had just been chased by something. Her sweatshirt was shredded, brown, and otherwise unrecognizable. Her hair looked like a foreclosure birds nest, so terrible that not even a pidgey would bother. Gengar floated in through the walls of the center and looked worriedly at her. Nurse Joy trotted over and made the same expression.
Jodie let out a long sigh. “I need some tea. And a change of clothes. And a bath.”
It was at this point that Jodie noticed she wasn’t the only one in the pokemon center, out in the middle of nowhere, this late at night, in a storm. Thankfully, in the light the hallucinations seemed to leave her alone. People had stopped looking like monstrosities yesterday, so that was also good.
Jodie felt like the recognized one of them. No, both of them. Who they were, exactly, escaped her. Her brain was not up to the task at the moment. “Hello.” She greeted casually, waving a greeting to the pair.
Nurse Joy helped Jodie to her feet. “Quick shower.” She muttered aloud. And so, awkwardly, Jodie left the two other people to go make herself not more akin to a muk than a person.
ooc: Jodie will be more interactive next time XD words counted: 735
A Pokemon Center was hardly a good place for a Gym Leader to hang out in, especially since Gym Leaders are generally recognized by the public eye, and Nattousai didn't like the extra attention, but he was here because he had heard Jodie went on one of her many dangerous excursions again this time in the Terram Mountains and he felt obligated to be here at the nearest Pokemon Center to check on her. He felt guilty for not going on the outing with her, but after the fire near the Lost Shrine he didn't want to get into any more close calls with that woman. She was great, but she brought some bad juju with her ghosty stuff. He at least felt somewhat redeemed for waiting at the Pokemon Center to see if she would show up there at some point that showed good faith on his part. There was no Jodie, not yet anyway, but there was a couple of interesting Trainers talking about interesting things nearby, and Nattousai couldn't help but eavesdrop.
He was sitting along a bench in the building with a newspaper shoved in his face to help mask his identity as he was waiting for Jodie to check in at some point and also listening in on the chatter of the Trainers. Something about accidentally stealing Pokemon and speculation about Pokemon Evolution. Nattousai didn't know much about the Evolution process himself but he know enough. But something seemed fishy in Nattousai's mind, as they spoke Nattousai kept finding himself peaking at the older looking, bluish haired Trainer with his fancy regal like getup, and then something had occurred to him, could it be? It was, it was the great Adrian Levin, the league member! Nattousai twinged at the realization and the sight of him, he could hardly believe he was there in the flesh. He had only heard stories but never met the man himself. When he later confirmed his identity to indeed be Adrian, Nattousai dropped his paper by accident from excitement and awe and quickly picked it back up hiding his face again thinking maybe they wouldn't notice.
He had to be thought of as a rather strange being by those around him that he may have stolen attention from, with Nurse Joy herself giving him somewhat of an alerting look upon his nerves acting up so suddenly. He still acted like nothing happened keeping his paper to his face, surely nobody had to have noticed him as the Dizhen City Gym Leader, he trusted in his undercover abilities to keep him beneath the radar so to speak. However, if he blew his cover just then he would have to make himself known and he wouldn't be too upset over his mistake. The Terram Mountains Pokemon Center was the last place he'd suspect, well, any Trainers really, it was so far off and away from everything he was surprised any were even in such a place. The mountains were no joke, and some serious hazards thrived all over the area. He often tried to avoid the place in fear of putting his new team in danger. With his Gym team with him, it would be a breeze to trek, but with his new group, he wasn't so sure it would be the best idea to travel in.
Thankfully, before things became more awkward, Nattousai's purpose had been fulfilled. Almost on cue, Jodie stumbles into the Pokemon Center with Gengar whisking beside her. And she really did not look well. Nattousai now felt extremely terrible for not being with her on another journey of hers, she looked seriously hurt. If he had been there beside her, maybe she would have not been so scuffed up. He figuratively just kicked himself for being as ignorant as he was. Luckily Nurse Joy rushed to the scene and saw to it she was cared for. He couldn't sit back in hiding any longer however, he had to say something and make himself there and present for Jodie in case she needed further aid. He stands up and folds his paper placing it on the bench and nonchalantly introduces himself. "Well then...hello everybody. Now if you'll excuse me, one second..." He motions to Adrian and the Trainer as if not to be too nosy and turns right to Jodie. He completely freaks out.
"JODIE! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!? You could have gotten badly hurt, lost, or even killed! Now we may not have had the best adventure back at the Shrine, but for you to go and rough yourself up as badly as you did, now that is just unacceptable. And I am truly sorry I wasn't there with you to help on this latest venture of yours." Nattousai takes a breath. "Now...tea sounds good. We should all have some. And oh!" Nattousai waves to Adrian like a little school girl trying to fight being shy. "Hello Adrian whom I don't know as a world renown League member. It's nice to see you. I'm just a low class Trainer stumbling on by, don't mind me, I'm not a Gym Leader or anything I swear." He was lying ofcourse, but he felt it necessary at the present time.
How much of that people would actually buy into he wasn't sure, but as long as Jodie was alright, and Nurse Joy didn't hate him for making too much of a scene, or he didn't get kicked out of the Center for his harking, things should be okay. It was such a peaceful moment too, everything was so nice and calm before he opened his big mouth. Oh well, that was who he was, a spunky boisterous oaf with a whole lotta gravitas. He tried to change himself many times over the years, some things you just can't change. He was still confused as to why his own Pokemon stuck around and tolerated him, he must be doing something right at the least. What, he was not sure.
"Ha! I knew your name sounded familiar!" Davey pointed at Adrian with his index finger. Memories started coming back. He remembers taking a break from a movie in Lumiose city and coming home just in time for the Elite four pokémon battles. It was a huge event that took place for a week or so where trainers who obtained all their badges challenge the Elite four. He remembers his mom watching the battles on television and making a big fuss over the Elite Four members- she was also bragging about her days as an Elite four too. Anyways, he remembers his mom repeating Adrian's name, cheering him on during one of hid battles. Before he could really react himself, something odd happened.
Right after Adrian claimed to be a league member, a mysterious man in the halls of the pokémon center dropped his paper and made a strange noise. It caused Davey to peep out into the hallway at the man, who quickly went back to reading his paper. "Uhh... okay." Davey didn't mean to but he completely ignored almost everything Adrian said. Davey was still focusing on the strange man.
Davey's attention did not return to Adrian until Nurse Joy returned with Mikki, the trainer's pokémon was delighted to see him and returned to his position on the top of his head. Afterwards, Adrian started to speak again and once he was done, Davey answered. "You see, I'm getting ready to do a movie and the director wanted to show me a certain location here where most of the movie will be taking place. I let all three of my pokémon out and a fight broke out... I don't know what happened after that. Next thing I know- we're being chased by monstrous pokémon. I was thankful to find the pokémon center when I did..." Davey was a tad bit embarrassed. He didn't want to tell an Elite Four how bad he failed his pokémon. Davey let all of his pokémon down, they could hardly defend themselves out there and Davey did not make smart decisions either. He was a horrible trainer and he felt unworthy to keep all three of his pokémon.
"You know, my-" Davey wanted to talk about Adrian some more but before he could get a word out, the doors of the pokémon center were opened up and a woman walked through (though, she looked like she could hardly walk). A gengar was by her side, doing his best to help her toward the front desk. Davey watched her. The woman's damp clothes reminded him of his own, so he took off the coat he was wearing. The man with the newspaper got up right after the woman came in, introducing himself to Davey and Adrian but mostly to Adrian. The man seemed nervous and a bit off and Davey couldn't help but chuckle behind his hand and when the man chased after the woman, he chuckled aloud.
"Excuse me, Adrian, super mega league member, I think you were spotted." Davey teased. He tried to conceal his laughter but he just couldn't. Davey let all of his laughter out. "And I thought my fans were outrageous!"
Adrian listened in to Davey's story and how his Pokemon had gotten into a small fight between themselves, an understanding nod came from him. "You don't need to worry too bad about that. All teams are going to have a little bit of a spat some time or another. Even my dragons do at times, although that tends to be a tad more destructive..." He told Davey, thinking about his dragons back at home and what they might even be doing now. "Just keep trying. Everybody has mistakes and the best we can do is learn from those mistakes. Even after all my years even I tend to make quite a few slip-ups on certain things. Nobody is never going to make a mistake ever again." He explained, offering some condolences.
Then there was quite a series of events that happened. A young man, then came a woman known as Jodie, which made Adrian's mind rush through the stored info to recall who she even was. Just a big, hectic mass of events for a brief moment. Then finally it was settled down though when Jodie left, causing Adrian to sigh. He hadn't met her formally, but from what he has heard, some things are best left unasked. Now, as for the other. That seemingly timid young man. Adrian turned to him for a bit and offered a smile. "Hello. Seems I didn't need to give much of an intro." He chuckled slightly. "Well, it would be nice to know your name. Also, might want to try providing a little confidence when you try to lie." He tipped in a good-nature manner. Although for a bit, his attentions returned to Davey at his remark.
"Honestly, sometimes I wish I wasn't all famous and that. I have had plenty of people seek my companionship simply to use me for status. I assume you may know this too, huh?" He asked Davey, feeling that being a popular performer also did that to a person. Then he gestured for the other to come over. "You're welcome to join us if you would like to. I promise we don't bite. At least I think not..." He said, giving a glance to Davey with a small smirk.
odie stared blankly at Nattousai, as he railed on her about going out alone. “Oh, Nattousai, you’re here too? Look, I’ll be right back. We should have a nice chat then.” She smiled tiredly at him and waved, as she followed staggeringly after Nurse Joy.
The shower was hot. The rain had soaked through the entirety of Jodie’s bag, rendering everything in desperate need of a washing machine. Except the hoodie Jodie had been wearing. That was so ripped and stained brown, she doubted even the supernatural powers of Nurse Joy could salvage its ruins.
Nurse Joy, always to the rescue, brought her a replacement pair of clothes, a granola bar, an apple, and promised to be back with tea. Seriously, what would anyone do without the Nurse Joys? Jodie slipped on the borrowed plain white t-shirt and grey sweatpants. They were a little big, but they kept in the warmth her hot shower had returned to her bones. Man, though, it felt weird to be wearing different clothes. Jodie had several sets of clothes that she cycled through, and those came in a total number of four varieties; sleeveless shirt, sweatshirt, jeans, and cargo pants. These light clothes almost seemed to glow when compared to her dark wardrobe. Her neck felt bare and alone without its scarf companion.
She opened up the granola bar and slipped the apple into her pocket. Bare feet stepping lightly on the linoleum, Jodie returned to the lobby with her mouth full of food.
She swallowed. “Alright, Nattousai, I’ve had time to come up with a rebuttal.” Jodie said. She took another bite, swallowed, and swung her hand to point at the gym leader. Crumbs dotted her cheeks. “I was thinking I’d spent two days cooped up in the pokemon center and would rather face rayquaza than spend another in the same stupid room. And come on, it’ll take more than that to kill me.” Jodie pounded her bruised stomach. She quickly regretted doing so.
Gengar drifted from the back room, carrying a lemonade Nurse Joy had given him. Jodie paced further into the room, standing as a sort of intermediary between Nattousai and the other two. The former of which, she looked to. “And seriously, Nattousai, what’re you doing here? You following me, man?” She joked, grinning.
But standing in the middle of the floor quickly became boring. Waving for Nattousai to come join her, she trotted over to the couches and, lifting herself up from the back, took the nearest seat to them. On the top of the couch. “Well, I feel like I made a bad first impression.” She said, joining the group without much for ceremony. They seemed like interesting people, so here she was. “Name’s Jodie, though you probably already guessed that. You’re…” She paused, looking at the older of the two. “Adrian. The elite four member. Fancy. And you’re,” The other guy stumped her. “I’ve seen you on TV. It’s… Steve, no, Davey, right? Cute little pokemon you’ve got there. Reminds me of when Gengar was a clefable.”
Gengar gave Jodie a look that said, “I was never a clefable and you know it”. Jodie finished off the granola bar and stuffed the wrapper in her pocket. “So can I ask you guys a question? Did any of you see a horde of vicious eevee on the way here? Not just like five, but like a whole pack of ‘em. Glowing eyes, sharp teeth, thirst for blood. No, just me?” She hoped it was only her.
Unfortunately Nattousai's hopes of not being recognized diminished right before his eyes. Blowing his cover like an idiot surely did the trick of ruining the...trickery...that he was trying to pull off. Well there was nothing he could do now except admit defeat in his unveiling and join the group in their escapades, he really just wanted to make sure Jodie was alright and that was it, but now he is along for tea time and crumpets. Upon Jodie's entrance and Nattousai's odd greeting, it was only natural he get heckled a bit for being so off putting. He was teased by the so called famous Pokemon Entertainer, though he didn't see an Entertainer of The Year award plastered on any part of his body. He wasn't impressed by him. "Ah...Davey, I think I remember you now...a peppy little performer you are. Much obliged." Nattousai gives a brief nod to him. But the one known as Davey quickly shifted focus back to Adrian, the real famous one out of the lot here. It was to be expected, the man was a household name, unlike Nattousai, who was just a Gym Leader that most people just kinda sorta knew. In Dizhen City he was a star, but here, well, he was just mediocre; that was fair.
Adrian, the one everyone seemed to know, to Nattousai's surprise, actually gave the Poison Type Specialist the time of day and recognized him...sort of. Adrian didn't know his name, and that was fine, perhaps it was better that way, but Nattousai knew him all too well and would make sure as to not leave the wrong impression. But Nattousai was already too late, Adrian caught him in a lie, how, Nattousai was unsure of, but then again, Nattousai was a very bad liar to begin with, maybe Adrian did secretly know who he was after all. Adrian went on to try and play off a humble sort with his dislike for being famous supposedly, Nattousai took this as feigning modesty but let him have his moment of humble pie regardless. Once he was asked his name by Adrian, he hesitated at first, but then figured he was had anyway, so he went ahead and properly said hello to everyone. "Not a very good liar or at espionage am I? The name is Nattousai Fang, Dizhen City Gym Leader, a love for Poison Pokemon and silencing arrogant Trainers. And you, Adrian Levin, one of the League's best and brightest, I am honored, sir. And overhearing the conversation, you, the other one, Davey, also somewhat famous I suppose? Nice to meet you. I guess we are all famous in our own way, two Gym Leaders a League Member and an Entertainer, I am baffled as to why we are not swarmed by the most blood thirsty press that Terram has to offer right now; better yet, aren't a part of some secret club or perhaps even an online guild of some sort. We should consider those options, no?" Upon his bantering, Jodie had finally answered his distress and worry towards her, and immediately both his ears were only honed on her and her alone.
It took her a few minutes to retort Nattousai's panic, and when she did, it was rather short, sweet, and nonchalant. He may have gotten a little too flustered over Jodie's latest journey, his attempts at making sure she was safe came off as creepy and stalker like more than anything else. He truly was embarrassed now, he tried to hide his flushed cheeks. Who was he kidding? A Gym Leader could handle herself, what was he even thinking? But he got where she was coming from, a place like a Gym did get cramped all the time, and it could easily drive one nuts, thus why Nattousai was out and about on his own personal adventures, he liked that so much better. There were ofcourse the select few Leaders that would rather take on Trainers all day and all night to keep their skills sharp in their hovels than go out and explore, and to Nattousai, they were honestly boring and far too blunt for his own taste, he liked a little excitement in his life, and he assumed, so did Jodie, which made her an interest of his as of late. Granted, when last they met it involved a forest fire and injured Pokemon, but at least it was something different.
Upon a closer listen to Jodie's reply towards him, Nattousai was kind of wounded by her accusation of him being a stalker, he did very much hate that word, he may have just went from friend zone to stalker city, and he did not want to be under that category whatsoever. He needed to save face and explain himself further it seemed, and he would say or do whatever he could to keep him seen as innocent and not creepy in the slightest. Later though, she changed the subject and atmosphere to a more intense topic, something about vicious Eevees or what not. Seeing as he was technically invited into the group of famous belligerents he sat next to them all and gestured to Nurse Joy for some tea as she walked around the Center with a tray already passing some out to visitors. She stopped near him and allowed him to take a cup with a few lumps of sugar, he crossed his legs and sipped on the cup in thought. He felt much more calm than he did a few minutes ago, sometimes all it takes is a cat being out of the bag to fit into the dog pen, or maybe some other fancy metaphor. "Jodie, I assure you I just wanted to make sure you were safe after our last little incident together I got worried. Followed you? Maybe, but you're okay, that's all that matters. As for the Eevee accusation, I have never once in my experience as a Gym Leader or a Trainer heard of a pack of vicious Eevees, let alone any around these parts. You certain that was what you saw out there?" The comment of Eevees being so vicious was absurd, even for Jodie.
However, the weird and the strange and the unlucky just seem to follow Jodie everywhere she goes. Nattousai almost wanted to suggest to her a personal body guard besides her own Pokemon to keep her safe, but that was pushing it just a bit. Nattousai didn't know why he was suddenly so attached to Jodie after catching up with her at her Gym recently, it was as if he felt he rekindled a delicate and warm flame, a bond he mended somehow, and he wanted to keep it this time. The pain in the neck for him was though, whenever he was near her trouble followed, and now he almost always expects a wild ride upon her presence, this time it just so happened to be a pack of vicious yet cute and cuddly Eevees. Jodie would have to try real hard to convince him of this one, especially since Eevees are generally friendly and docile creatures, fiercely loyal to their Trainers and he has never heard a case of Eevees being violent to humans, unless something made them? This was going to be quite the story Jodie would have to elaborate upon. But Nattousai was a patient man, and he had his tea and good company, he would be just fine listening as Jodie went on with her claims. And the other two people in their conversation, he hoped would grow on him.

He did not expect a gym leader to act so much like... a girl. He was shocked to hear that the man in the hall was a pretty big gym leader. "Nice to meet you..." Davey was a bit too late to introduce himself and the gym leader was more interest in Adrian, so he decided to stay quiet.
"Honestly, no. You see, I don't exactly get to go out and make my own friends like a normal person. Everything is business." He gave a slight shrug before sitting down. "The people I am associated with are all entertainers on my level. I really don't like using that saying but its the one most commonly used by my managing team." He blushed with embarrassment. It was true, he didn't like saying it- Davey sounded cocky and bigheaded when he did and he knows that. "My managing team makes all my friends for me. As an A-lister I must hang with other A-listers... to avoid what you're going through. It sounds awful but hanging with a model and or actor, like myself, with the same net worth means I'm not being used." He sighed. He's not being used, that was a positive but he didn't have a friend who simply liked him for being Davey, not the actor or model. Davey slouched in the chair paying no attention to the two strangers who had joined them. Not until Adrian pointed them out. He looked up at the two, the young man and woman who were there a few minutes ago. The young man seemed a bit jittery and as for the young woman... she was spunky. Was that the word to describe her? Yes, spunky. She had a certain era Davey kinda liked and envied her for. " 'Ello." He raised his hand and bent a few fingers that seemed to be waving.
Jodie. The woman's name even sounded spunky. Davey got up to shake her hand. He would introduce himself but she already had a clue who he was. "Clefable?" Was she serious? Davey did not know much about pokémon but he could see the difference between his jigglypuff, her gengar and a clefable. He shook his head with a expression that made him look like he was hit with confusion. It was his turn to glance at Adrian with a smirk and then the poison type gym leader. "Is your friend alright?" He asked. He wasn't sure what to think anymore and just when he thought it couldn't get any worse, the woman began babbling about a vicious eevee pack.
"I don't think she is. My dear, I believe you need to sit down for a bit- better yet, rest. You sound like you've had a long day." He motioned for her to sit down hoping that she would. He even sat down and patted the seat next to him but Angel took the seat before Jodie could even think about.
"This is exciting! An elite four member, a gym leader and a... Uh? An explorer?" He didn't quite get what Jodie was.
Adrian was first and foremost just rather confused with the statement about the woman, Jodie's, Gengar. Okay, was she perhaps on something? Last he recalled at least Gengars did not evolve from Clefable. Although he just shrugged that all off, returning his attentions to the other people. He simply shrugged at what Nattousai had said of Adrian being the strongest and the brightest. "I'm about as bright as your average person. Strong? Well, in the end that all depends." He noted. Looking out the windows though and hearing something on a pack of feral Eevee. "Can't say I have seen much on the Eevee department, but sometimes the strangest of things can happen in the strangest of times..." He said.
Mikki meanwhile seemed rather upset at having to further share his trainer's attentions with others. The Jigglypuff giving off the clue as his body began to inflate slightly with air and a rather mad looking facial expression came. Adrian just ignored it though, since Mikki needed to get used to this kind of thing anyways. Outside it was rather stormy it seemed with rain falling in gallons. He wasn't sure if he would even make it home that night. "Well, seeing as we all know names now, what is everyone even here for in the first place? Or, why did everyone end up here?" May as well chat about something.
