NAME: ARIN KELVIN SPARR
Appearance: Arin's height is nothing he can brag about, as he stands at a small height of 4'8. He weighs only 93 pounds as well, so he is on the small side to say the least. Arin doesn't bother to keep his hair very tidy, resulting in his jet black hair standing on end and spiking up in every which way. His eyes are a very dark brown color, although some even mistake their dark color to be black. Arin wears a dark grey undershirt with long sleeves, and has two thin white bands located just above his elbows wrapped around his arms. This is coupled with a bright red shirt above which features numerous yellow linear markings. Some of the yellow lines line the collar and center of his shirt, but some also curve along the side of his torso. The tail of the shirt hangs down somewhat, giving a cape-like illusion to it. His pants are baggy and colored white, but they are coupled with a teal cloth wrapped around Arin's waist that is held in place by a brown belt. His shoes are the same dark grey color as his undershirt, but their rims are yellow. A thin yellow line also runs down their center, and a thin light grey strand of rope is wrapped around his ankle. Personality:
Arin can be described as outgoing, social, and very energetic. He seems to never run out of energy and always tries to find the good in things. Arin also is always very optimistic and can make rather blunt statements since he isn't afraid to blurt out whatever pops into his head. But he still has at least some common sense. Arin is also a big risk taker, and never leaves a chance to get something beneficial behind. He follows his instincts and tends to come up with plans on the spot instead of carefully planning something out beforehand. He will commonly be the first person in a group to react to something and is overall a very social person. However, Arin may be a bit of a nuisance to others, namely adults who can't tolerate his childish personality. His curiosity tends to get the better of him, which usually gets him into trouble. But Arin will try and try again at something until he accomplishes his goal. Arin's not very good at keeping things tidy, which usually leaves his bag a mess and makes it hard for him to find his things. Arin deeply cares for all of his Pokémon and friends. He would never leave someone close to him behind, even if they demand for him to leave. Sure, he might get a bit cowardly when alone, but Arin would push his fears aside for a close friend- although it won't always be easy for him to do so. History: Born and raised in the Hoenn Region's Fortree City, Arin lived in a family of three, just consisting of himself and his parents. He lived a rather normal life with his parents. His mother usually stayed at their home to take care of him while he was an infant, she was also a Coordinator, while his father was usually out and about with the duties of a Pokémon Ranger. His father would occasionally bring home a wounded Pokémon he found in the wild to take care of for a short while, so their house would have at least one or two Pokémon running around inside. Even as an infant, Arin didn't mind the extra company. In fact, he would usually be found playing with the Pokémon since he really had nobody else to play with. He had no siblings or kids his age lived in the neighborhood. By the time he was five years old, Arin got the chance to accompany his father on missions. His father had plenty of strong Pokémon, so protecting the toddler was not much of a problem. The real problem was keeping Arin out of trouble. He always ended up wandering into places he shouldn't stray towards out of curiosity, and his father usually had to pull him out of trouble. Sometimes the kid would try to cross over a precariously placed log above a river just to pick up a rock that looked cool. But Arin still enjoyed getting out and about more than anything. He loved flying with his father aboard the ranger's Swellow and adventuring around. His mother also taught him more about Pokémon in general, and taught him how their types played out, what kinds of moves they could use, and much more. Her main Pokémon was a giant Milotic that always accompanied her in Contest. Several more years passed with this type of lifestyle, and Arin eventually had began to think about heading off on his own journey someday. His father had recently been tasked of taking care of two Pokemon that were given to him by the higher ranking members of the Rangers- a pairing of an infant Goomy and a Chimchar that had been attacked out in the wild. As you might guess, these two would go on to become Arin's starting Pokemon. The Goomy seemed to click with Arin. It would commonly just sit on his head for hours at a time, possibly mistaking his spiky and unkempt hair as a nest or sorts. Arin was a bit annoyed at first, but getting the slug that passed itself off as a dragon off of his head was easier said than done. It was like pulling gum out of your hair. Even so, the slug pokemon was pretty lovable. It seemed to just stick to Arin like glue, as if he were it's parent. Chimchar was a different story. The gecko was rather annoyed by Arin's childish personality, but it also did come to him for free food occasionally since he seemed to be the only one who gave away scraps of his food during dinner. Pokemon food just didn't cut it sometimes. He eventually began to bring the grass type along on missions with his dad, and the pokemon seemed to have enjoy getting out and about, and eventually got used to the child after a while. Deciding to head off to the Rakuen Region after seeing a convincing ad for it on TV, Arin's parents let him bring along the Chimchar and Goomy. Now that they were under his ownership, Arin finally gave them names. The Goomy was named Nimbus, while the Chimchar was named Kai. His father also let him borrow his Swellow just for a ride over to the region. Bidding his hometown goodbye, Arin headed off onto his own journey to Rakuen.
